2 in 2 days!
I know - posting twice in succession is getting impressive but it is helped by the fact that UKS seems to be dead at the moment. Well - not quite as there seem to be 97 lucky souls on there - I just can't make it 98!
Anyway, when I was on earlier I noticed the latest in the series of blog prompts that have been up there - I can't remember the exact wording but basically they were asking for 5 things that make me seethe. Now those of you know me know that I am basically a very laid back sort of person - it takes a LOT to make me rant and rave, but I'll have a go at this.
1) Poor communication. Whether as a business online, a 1-1 situation or a swap/CJ on a scrapping boards if the communication lines that exist are used then many of the potential problems would be gone. I also figure that the limitations of the more modern ways of communicating should be born in mind - how many online spats happen because people just can't read tone of voice into a post online or an e-mail.
2) People who have superiority complexes. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses - and those who are good at one thing may not neccessarily be good at another. I have always believed that as long as someone does their best - or enjoys having a go - then that is to be praised not ridiculed. I will never make a design team and am in awe of those who have the ability to reach those exalted heights. But I am happy when I scrap - and I know that I am happy with the results. I write this also as a parent - to hear that my daughter has been teased by some for not being good as them at sport makes me want to scream.
3) Being the only one in the family who does food shopping! It's hard work trying to keep a varied menu - and when I ask what people fancy to eat and all I get is "Just the usual stuff"
4) Having sat here for ages trying to work out why I can't get onto UKS - and suffered with computer failure and losing a lot of work (I Know I know - should have backed up) I will have to say computer failure. They are so central to my life these days it's a pain when they don't tope the line.
5) Eight year olds that think whining will win the day for them. Guess what - it won't!!
