Love is..........(Speshal dare no 26)

I always look at the speshal dare when it comes out on Friday night - but so far haven't had the courage to have a go - I could never compete with the stunning layouts that are in the blog. Occasionally I have had thoughts towards a layout but have never yet completed one until this one. Something about Debbie's layout struck a cord and I remembered a picture I had of Claire tucking into a plate of spaghetti from the summer. She will, I am sure, eat absolutely ANYTHING if it has pasta with it - hence the title of the layout. I'm not sure whether I should have put anything in the spaces next to the photos - but decided against it. So - here is the effort of a novice digi scrapper!

More Layouts

I never got as far as the LO for the Antarctica challenge I had in mind, but did manage another Digi - combining a pic I took of HMS Endurance while in Portsmouth and some internet pics.

I also did a paper LO for the Pencil lines challenge, combining it with the latest weekly challenge on UKS. This LO tells the challenge of taking surreptitious pics for our neighbour's star book I am planning for Christmas - not easy when EVERYTHING that could go wrong did go wrong! Still at least I finally got the pictures - and I don't think she suspects a thing!

Antarctica challenge

The house challenge on UKS this month asks us to do a LO inspired by Antarctica! Now funnily enough I don't have many pics of that country, and I'm not keen on using precious stash to do LOs using Internet pics - so I dusted off the digi scrapping software. This was done using Scrapbook Factory - having just been teaching global warming the topic was on my mind... I have got another idea in mind - but whether or not I'll have time in the next week remains to be seen. Watch this space!

New challenge blog

The new challenge blog Pencil Lines looks absolutely fantastic - they provide a sketch and some sample LOs as inspiration and we do the rest - easy eh?!Becky Fleck did the first sketch - ideal for me as I had been looking for the inspiration for 3 pictures of DD and her two cousins. Thanks girls! The card sketches that they are offering may not be my sort of thing as I am not a card maker, but I will be lurking with intent to see what the next challenge is come Sunday night

For when the mojo is lacking.....

..I found this fabby link on UKS the other day - many thanks to the person who found it originally - sorry - can't remember who it was! CK have come up with a random challenge generator - you just select the bits you want to be challenged on and away you go! Ideal for the moment when you have heaps of pics to scrap but no idea what to do with them!
